Our Leaders
Our Pastor
Shawn Golden accepted the call as our pastor in May of 2023. A graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Shawn and his wife Sarah have been serving in ministry for over twenty-years. Together they have raised four children and are active in the local community and charitable events, while supporting the many activities of the church and its members.
Worship
Billy Washburn has been with Cropper Baptist since July of 2025. Along with his preaching and teaching, his music leadership provides the congregation the opportunity to worship, with their focus solely on God. Billy and his wife Tiea have six children and they are busy with life and family. Billy loves the Scriptures and is continually studying and sharing what God reveals to him, while using the God given musical talents to bless the congregation.
Deacons
Our team of deacons are active and available to the members of the congregation. Deacons are servants, and their primary responsibility is to grow in their faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, while serving the church and its members in their pursuit of growing in Christ. Our current board of Deacons include: Terry Hall (chairman), Gary Yount, Shannon Osten, and Kevin Trotta.
Our Volunteers
Being a small rural church in Shelby Co. KY., our church is active, and there are many needs that are met by the many faithful members of our church. Our volunteers are leaders in the church by setting an example of true servanthood. Keeping our facility, clean, comfortable, maintained, and safe each week is no small task. Our servant not only maintain the building, but help with preparing the worship service each week. We are SO blessed to have faithful members that give to the Lord and allow everyone the best opportunity to worship God each week.
